Animals
Lend a Hand
We're
are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the International
Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) to create a hard-hitting public
awareness campaign to help protect seals, whales and elephants. The
campaign will feature a series of 3 posters on 224 sites across
the London Underground network.
"These
posters will place a spotlight on to the current threats to some
of the world's most iconic species."
said Robbie Marsland, Director of IFAW UK, "This is a great opportunity
to educate commuters and encourage people across London that
they can make a difference by taking action in support of IFAW's
campaigns to end cruelty".
We
hope that the global appeal of the Animals on the Underground
will help raise awareness of the plight of real animals who need
our protection. More information on IFAW here

The
long awaited Animals on the Underground book launched
For
the last few years we have been thinking about, writing and illustrating
this lovely book which is now available to buy through our online
shop. There
are fascinating facts throughout the book about real animals that
can be found on and around the London Underground system.
Following
the successful launch, we have run a competition in London's Metro
newspaper where each of 20 lucky winners received a signed copy
of the book.
Online
shop expands!
Following
increasing demand for Animals merchandise in recent years, we have
re-vamped our online shop to cope better with the volume of orders.
Turnaround times are much reduced and the quality has even improved!
We've
got some great new gift ideas too! Why not give someone you love
a cuddly teddy bear? Or a Snail wall clock for those who can't wait
to leave the office! Check
it out now...

Metro

the recent launch of our revised web site where we added some new
Animals, Metro newspaper ran a competition to find out how many
Animals their readers thought had now been spotted on the map. Five
lucky winners received one of our fabulous mouse mats. The answer,
by the way, is currently 23 but there are more to come!

Our
feet have barely touched the ground. As many of you will have noticed,
we had a terrific article appear in the Daily Mail on Thursday July
29th with a huge advert on the front cover and a double page spread
inside (pages 24-25)!
We
were inundated from morning to night with other journalists wanting
to do interviews and requesting images of the Animals. We were interviewed
by several radio stations including Kiss 100, Heart 106.2 and LBC
and even appeared on the 6 and 11 o'clock news on ITV's London Tonight
show! If you want to see the TV article, click
here (I'm afraid it is around 4Mb in case you have a slow connection!).
Happily,
we were also inundated with very kind comments from people who love
the Animals and lots of orders for T shirts. In fact, we've sold
out of many of the more popular designs and sizes and are waiting
for new stock to arrive any day now.

Outstanding!
Within a few hours of ordering my 3 year old is chuffed to bits
wearing his 'Fish' T which arrived this morning. Animals on the
Underground - terrific idea! Who really wants to wear a T shirt
with 'mind the gap on' as a reminder of the London Underground?
Congratulations.
